About Peter Daou

Lebanese Civil War survivor. Militia conscript. Jazz keyboardist. Chart-topping remixer. Political author. Kerry and Clinton adviser. Peter has traveled an eclectic path from a battle-scarred childhood in Beirut to the war rooms of two presidential campaigns.

An outspoken activist, he was described by the NY Times as “one of the most prominent political bloggers in the nation.” The Washington Post said his early digital advocacy helped innovate “a whole new way of campaigning.”

Before entering the political arena, Peter was a prolific musician, co-producing three #1 Billboard Club singles and collaborating on hundreds of remixes with house music pioneers Frankie Knuckles, Danny Tenaglia, and David Morales. He has appeared on recordings by Björk, Miles Davis, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, and Mariah Carey, among other popular artists.
